All foreign visitors entering Japan must possess valid passports. Citizens of some countries may be required to apply for entry visas in advance. Depending on the country, visa applications can take up to three to four months to be processed. It is therefore recommended that participants contact their local Japanese Consular Offices to determine whether or not a visa is required, as soon as possible. A list of countries with visa exemptions can be found at: Should a visa be needed, participants should submit the Visa Information Form (PDF format) to the Registration Secretariat well in advance. If you are required to obtain a letter of invitation to INET 2000 for purposes of obtaining a visa to Japan or to obtain permission to attend INET 2000, please send an email message to: (inet2000-reg@jtbcom.co.jp). You may also request an invitation letter by faxing your request to the INET 2000 Registration Secretariat at +81 6 6456 4105. Include your full family name, postal address, arrival and departure dates of your visit to Japan, and phone and fax numbers. Please allow up to three weeks for postal delivery of your invitation letter. Attendees are responsible for registering and paying appropriate fees for all preconference and INET 2000 conference activities, as well as travel expenses and assuming full responsiblity for these costs.
