The efforts of the Integrated Services and Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) working groups of the Internet Engineering Task Force have reached the point where implementations are now possible in commercial routers. This talk focuses on one engineer's experience in implementing RSVP and the Controlled Load services on a symmetrical multiprocessor commercial router architecture.
