InternetCar —Internet Connected Automobiles

Keisuke Uehara talks about an unusual project: the internetcar. He presents the overview of the system, its characteristics and its goals such as : a mobile information architecture, the best mobile IP connectivity. For the future project, the research team wants to have a ubiquitous operating system and use a second generation of GLI

Integrating Front End Web Systems with Back End Systems

M-A. COHEN introduced the subject by describing the great need for integrating font-end and back-end. The front-end system handles the interactions with the outside, for example a web merchant server enabling customers. The back-end does the same thing but inverse the direction . He continued by describing the different scenarios of storage locations and replications (synchronous, periodic, real —time access/ up date, real time access / batch update). He also explained the analysis of business object

Many questions were asked during this session, the attendees were very interested by all this new ideas of applications. For example, one attendee wanted to know if the internetcar has sponsors.
