From East to West: A First Look at the Receptiveness of the Internet

Abstract

More and more students are creating their web page projects. The author is interested in finding out if there are differences in content/topic, style, structure, navigation, learner control, metaphor employed and aesthetics. Besides languages, are students from different cultural background creating "significantly" different web pages? If yes, in what way? This poster session intend to find out the similarities and differences. Implications for instructional software authoring targeted for global audience will be discussed.
