Project Funding Initiative

Rules and Requirements

The application is to be submitted via the ISOC website. There is no limit to the number of Project proposals that may be submitted.

Applications should be in English. French or Spanish language will be accepted if English is not possible.

The Project may not be a commercial endeavor subject to taxation.

The Project leader(s) must agree to share the knowledge, experience and outcomes with the ISOC community at large and must indicate how it plans to do so.

The Project leader(s) and participants must agree to give ISOC credit as follows when making public statements about the Project - "This Project was funded in part by a grant from the Internet Society."

Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Only those projects approved by the Committee will be funded.

The Committee will be guided by which project proposals are in the best interests of the overall ISOC community and preference will be given to Project proposals consistent with expressed strategic priorities made by the Board for that year. Please review the Criteria for more information.
The Committee need not expend all available funds if it finds insufficient project proposals to do so in accordance with the established criteria.

When a fund is allocated to a project, it must be used within 24 months of the award notification.
