Community Grants ProgrammeRules and RequirementsThe application is to be submitted via the ISOC website. There is no limit to the number of Project proposals that may be submitted. Applications should be in English. French or Spanish language will be accepted if English is not possible. Any one Project may be eligible for an award of up to US$10,000 or US $15,000. The Selection Committee will award no more than 4 (four) awards at US$15,000 and the remainder of the awards at US$10,000. ISOC will not fund the entire cost of the Project. At least 25% of the total budget for the Project must be contributed from other sources. This contribution can include cash contributions or in-kind donations In-kind contributions from Other Sources of Support will be accepted; In-kind contributions from the Applicant will not. The Project may not be a commercial endeavor subject to taxation. The Project leader(s) must agree to share the knowledge, experience and outcomes with the ISOC community at large and must indicate how it plans to do so. The Project leader(s) and participants must agree to give ISOC credit as follows when making public statements about the Project - "This Project was funded in part by a grant from the Internet Society." Incomplete applications will be rejected. Only those projects approved by the Committee will be funded. The Committee will be guided by which project proposals are in the best interests of the overall ISOC community and preference will be given to Project proposals consistent with expressed strategic priorities made by the Board for that year. Please review the Criteria for more information. When a fund is allocated to a project, it must be used within 24 months of the award notification. |
