What is INET?
INET is the premier event for the international community of Internet technical experts, policy makers and business leaders. INET is considered a "homecoming" for many of the technical wizards who created the fundamental standards of the Internet. INET 2002 will be held June 18-21, 2002 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, just five minutes from Washington, D.C. A concurrent IPv6 Technology Deployment Summit will be held in conjunction with this year's INET conference.

Why should I cover INET 2002?
This year's INET conference comes at a critical time in the development of the Internet. A number of key decisions-on authentication, privacy, wiretapping, IPv6 and the regulation of e-business-will be made in the next 1-3 years. As INET 2002 explores the "Internet Crossroads: Where Policy and Technology Intersect"-you will have the opportunity to hear first-hand what's on the minds of the people involved in making those decisions.

How do I obtain an INET press pass?
Only qualified members of the media are eligible to receive INET press credentials. Please email your request to Melissa Byrd, at mbyrd@foretec.com, and be sure to include your name, publication/firm, contact information, and area of coverage. You will be notified if your request is approved. All passes may be picked up at the press registration table located in the on-site press lounge. You may be asked to show your media identification on site.

What kind of access does my INET press pass provide me?
With an INET press pass, you will have UNLIMITED access to all KEYNOTE speeches, more than 40 SESSIONS, ALL TUTORIALS and the concurrently run IPv6 Technology Deployment Summit.

What resources will be available to me?
There are staff assigned to work exclusively with the press to assist with meeting and interviewing keynote speakers, expert panelists, corporate spokespersons, and other world renowned speakers. Please make your interview requests in advance of the conference for ease of scheduling. You may email your request to Melissa Byrd, at mbyrd@foretec.com. In addition, registered media are encouraged to make use of the on-site press lounge. Amenities to be provided include computers, printers, telephones, fax, Internet connections, work tables, and complimentary snacks and beverages.
