INET 2002 Awards


The 2002 IEEE Internet Award

The IEEE Internet Award was established by the IEEE Board of Directors in June of 1999. It may be presented annually, for exceptional contributions to the advancement of Internet technology for network architecture, mobility, and end-use applications. The award consists of a bronze medal, a certificate, and an honorarium.

The recipient of the 2002 IEEE Internet Award is Dr. Stephen Crocker. The award was presented at the INET 2002 Welcome Reception by Celia L. Desmond, 2002 President of the IEEE Communications Society.

The INET 2002 Best Poster Award

The INET 2002 Best Poster Award recognized the poster that a duly-constituted jury chose as the best poster in the INET 2002 conference.

The recipients of this award are Carlos A. Osorio and L. Jean Camp for their poster "A Framework to Analyze Conflicts between Business and Technological Models of Privacy-enhancing Solutions for Electronic Commerce".
