INET Beirut 2010 is a one-day conference that is organized by the Internet Society in collaboration with the Lebanon Chapter of the Internet Society - See Its target audience will include a wide spectrum of Internet users hailing mainly from Lebanon. Routing Security Workshop

Location: Grand Habtoor Hotel
Date: 14 October 2010
Time: 2:00-5:00 pm

Trainer: Randy Bush, Research Fellow and Network Operator, Internet Initiative, Japan.

Participant are encouraged to bring their portables to the training room starting 11:00 am to make sure that they are set for the workshop

Workshop Syllabus:
  • Routing Security and Route Origin Validation (no more YouTube incidents)
  • Introduction to the Resource Private Key Infrastructure being deployed by IANA, RIRs, and large ISPs
  • Using the RPKI for Origin Validation and other things
  • Introduction to the Open Source Toolkit for the RPKI
Prerequisites for participants:
  • Unix System Administration
  • Good Understanding of bgp
  • Portable Computer with linux partition
