To qualify for INET’99 room rates, attendees must reserve their
rooms through the San Jose Convention and Visitors housing Bureau (SJCVB).
To make a reservation, print
the reservation form in PDF format here , or you may print the form directly from this web-site, and mail or
fax it to the contact information listed below.
All questions
and inquiries should be directed to the SJCVB and not to the ISOC Secretariat office. Any
changes and/or cancellations must be in writing and forwarded to the SJCVB. See the INET’99 Hotel/Housing Procedures for additional
information.
- All hotel rates are in US Dollars.
- A ten percent (10%) occupancy tax will be added to the cost of the
hotel rooms.
- Check-in at each hotel is officially at 15:00 and checkout is 12:00.
- Types of hotel rooms available:
- Single = 1 double bed, 1 person
- Double = 1 double bed, 2 people
- Double/Double = 2 double beds, 2 people
- Triple = 2 double beds, 3 people
- Quad = 2 double beds, 4 people

and/or exchanged at the front desk. Each floor has communal single-sex bathrooms (two
bathrooms per floor) available to guests. All halls have common area kitchen, laundry mat,
recreation room and lounge.
The Convention Center is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the residence hall complex. |
**Additional information:
- Smoking is prohibited within 15 feet of the residence halls.
- Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in residence hall common areas.
- Pay phones only are available.
INET'99 Hotel/Housing rates were effective until 21 May. You may still contact the Housing Bureau and if a room is available, the Bureau will make a reservation.

INET99 Hotel/Housing Reservation Procedures
The Internet Society has contracted with the San Jose Convention
& Visitors Bureau (SJCVB) to provide accommodations for INET99 attendees. To make
hotel/housing reservations, follow the procedures below:
- Complete all information requested on the INET99 Housing Form.
Reservations were due 21 May 1999. You may download the INET99 Housing Form here

- The INET99 Housing Bureau will send an acknowledgement within two
weeks of receiving of your reservation form. Please check the acknowledgement immediately
to be sure all information is correct.
- All rooms must be guaranteed. Reservations may be guaranteed by
supplying credit card information on this form or by sending a one-nightıs deposit of
$175 directly to the housing bureau. Checks should be made payable to SJCVB.
- All changes and or cancellations to reservations must be made in
writing with the INET99 Housing Bureau by 21 May 1999. Changes will be made on an
availability basis after the 21 May cut-off date.
- Room assignments are made on a first come, first served basis. Please
indicate your first, second and third preference for hotel accommodations on this form.
Failure to receive your first choice does not constitute an error.
- In the event the hotels listed are sold out, the INET99 housing
bureau will secure hotel rooms at the next closest available hotel.
- All communications must be in writing.
