The Internet Society has arranged special INET’99 airline rates for travel on a global basis to and from San Jose, California, USA. Scan the World Travel has been designated as the Official INET’99 Travel Agency to facilitate airline reservations and airline tickets on your behalf. The negotiated arrangements will reflect savings on all flights, including UNITED, the INET’99 Official Airline for U.S. domestic travel and NORTHWEST, the INET’99 Official Airline for international travel.

Selected as Official INET’99 Domestic Airline Carrier

United Airlines is offering special U.S. domestic conference fares for attendees of the Internet Society’s 9th Annual Meeting, INET’99, who use the "Special Meeting Desk" to make their reservations. Make reservations early and take advantage of the promotional fares that give you the greatest savings! Earn a 5% discount off the lowest applicable domestic fare, or 10% off the mid-week domestic coach fare.

By purchasing your ticket at least 60 days in advance of your scheduled travel, you will receive an additional 5% discount.

Simply call the Special Meetings Desk (or have your travel agent call) 1 800 521 4041 and refer to Meeting I.D. #522GV (outside of the U.S., call +1 313 234 6283.) Mileage Plus members receive full credit for all miles flown to INET’99. Tickets can be mailed by United, picked up at your local travel agency or United Airlines ticket office. You or your travel agent should call today as seats may be limited. United dedicated reservationists are on duty seven days a week from 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight, Eastern Standard Time.

NORTHWEST AIRLINES

Northwest is offering special international conference fares for attendees of the Internet Society’s 9th Annual Meeting, INET’99. Make reservations early and take advantage of the promotional fares that give you the greatest savings! Earn a 10% discount off the applicable World Business Class, economy, or APEX fares.

North American participants should call (or have your travel agent call) Northwest/KLM at +1 800 328 1111 during business hours (7:00am to 12:00 midnight, Eastern Standard Time, 7 days a week) and attendees from Asia and Europe may call the local NWA/KLM reservations office in their country of origin. All callers must refer to the WorldFile #RB251 to obtain information or reserve seats for this program.

 Passport & Visa Information

All foreign visitors to the United States must possess a valid passport with a validity of at least six months beyond the period of intended stay. Some foreign visitors may be required to obtain a nonimmigrant visa. For complete information on requirements for a nonimmigrant visa, and to obtain form OF-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application), the participant should contact their local U.S. embassy or consulate.
