Encryption Key Recovery Considered Harmful

Abstract

Businesses may need to "recover" encryption keys from time to time. However the U.S. Government has latched onto this requirement to facilitate the turning of the global electronic village into a surveillance society, where law enforcement and national security interests make the rules. This talk will discuss what business really needs and where the government is inappropriately interfering. Key point - if the government is successful, the security of the global communications infrastructure will be severely damaged.
