Mirjam Kuehne, Senior Program Manager
Prior to joining ISOC, Mirjam worked for 9 years at the RIPE NCC in Amsterdam, the Regional IP registry for Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. As part of the senior management team, she participated in the organization's strategic and financial planning. She was responsible for External Relations and represented the organization on an international level. She was deeply involved in developing Internet policies liaising with members, as well as external organizations such as ICANN, IETF, IAB, ITU and national regulators. Prior to that Mirjam was responsible for developing and managing membership as well as public services. She started her career at the RIPE NCC by reviewing and processing member's IP address requests requiring a deep understanding of network operations and technology.
Earlier in her career Mirjam worked for the software house SIMFLEX GmbH in Berlin, a start-up company developing system simulation software. She provided analytical support for material flow and logistic strategies, participated in the software
development and was responsible for customer support.
Mirjam obtained a Masters of Computer Science in Berlin, Germany in 1993. During her time at the University she was involved
in various EC funded research projects.
