Anne Lord, Senior Manager, Chapters and individual Memberships
Anne brings to ISOC more than 15 years experience in the global Internet community, working mostly in the non-profit sector where her focus has been on “community building”. Anne has worked closely with on-line communities in her previous position with the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), the Regional Internet Registry(RIR) for the Asia Pacific region. Anne’s areas of expertise include training, policy development, membership services and communications.
In particular, she worked with the National Internet Registries NIRs) in collaboratively developing a framework for policy and operational best practices. Anne also worked at the RIPE NCC when it began operations in 1992 and on leaving joined UUnet as an international support engineer, assisting ISPs in Africa and in Europe with BGP configurations to the European backbone.
Originally from England, Anne also has Australian citizenship. She holds a Masters in I.T (1991) and BSc in Economics, Statistics and Sociology (1985).
