Mission statement:
The Internet Society is at a critical point in its history. As the size
and the reach of the Internet continues to grow, ISOC must grow with it--both
in terms of membership and in terms of the scope of activities that the
organization engages in.
If elected I want to work to achieve greater visibility and appeal for
organization. ISOC has already made important contributions to the development
of the Internet through the Network Technology Workshops and through its
support for the technical standards development in the IETF. But ISOC
should also develop programs to assist with other areas of the networked
society such as in education, electronic commerce, and government regulation
where appropriate. ISOC is still a young organization with plenty of work
items and many challenges. I hope particularly to contribute to ISOC in
the areas of publishing and event organization.
