Washington, D.C.- January 25, 2000 -- The Internet Society (ISOC) announced today that John Chambers, President and CEO of Cisco Systems, Inc., will discuss the explosive growth of the Internet during his keynote address to ISOC's annual Internet Global Summit (INET). INET 2000 will be held in Yokohama, Japan from 18-21 July 2000.

Chambers, a business visionary for the Internet economy, is a master of understanding the impact of the Internet on business, government and the global economy.

He added, "When you think of Cisco, you must recognize the vision and contributions of its leader, John Chambers. We are, indeed, fortunate to feature John as our keynote speaker at this worldwide Internet summit."

Dr. Ken-ichi Ohmae, a writer and managing director of the management consulting firm, Ohmae and Associates, is also scheduled to address the Conference. Dr. Ohmae is a well-respected authority on the concept of a borderless economy. As an author, has published more than 70 books on a wide range of business and socio-political topics.
