Internet Use after "Attack on America"

Within an hour of the September 11, 2001 attacks on targets in the United States, people all over the world were using the Internet to communicate with each other, extend offers of help, and check on loved ones. Where many phone lines were cut off, in many cases Internet connections were able to continue transmitting key information and keep people connected.
