About the Internet Society 

Initiatives for 2008-2010

The Internet Society traditionally presented its activities within a three "pillar" format (Standards, Public Policy, and Education). As the organisation grows to take on new challenges and ambitions, we are expanding our focus and activities. We will depend ever more heavily on cross-organisational teams. In late 2007, ISOC developed a small set of longer term, more strategic activities, that we call the "initiatives".

The following initiatives will replace much of our traditional pillar model for organising our activities in 2008-2010:

• InterNetWorks
• Trust & Identity
