Despite millions of dollars spent by IT companies, digital security still contains more holes than a Swiss cheese. A European project called SEINIT (the Security Experts Initiative), plans to plug those holes by creating a virtual security framework independent of both devices and the networks they are trying to access.

ImageSEINIT offers the promise of seamless security regardless of hardware, software or access protocol, whether it's mobile phones, bluetooth, WiFi, ethernet or broadband connection. And it achieved this pervasive security without sacrificing privacy.
Through this portal you will have access to detailed information about the SEINIT concepts and architecture, you'll find information on emerging technologies such as PANA, SIP,  and for a better understanding don't hesitate to have a look at the dynamic demo : Alice on the train.

SEINIT devises a network architecture based on a distributed middleware that abstracts the low-level technology-specific security and, from the user’s expression of security requirements, transparently launches the appropriate technical components to implement the policies negotiated.

This scalable architecture, supports large and numerous security domains by introducing :
  indent 1st level  A SecLA-based security configuration
indent 1st level The dynamic deployment of components and wrappers
indent 1st level A secure repository and inter-domain Authority
