SANOG 5
February 2005, Dhaka, Bangladesh
ISOC provided a grant for the fellowship program. This allowed 22
local and regional participants to attend the workshops.

AfNOG 2005
April 2005, Maputo, Mozambique
ISOC supported the fellowship program for AfNOG 2005 that took place in May 2005 in Maputo, Mozambique. 54 attendees from 18 countries participated in the workshops and 85 people attended the AfNOG conference.

AfriNIC-2
April 2005, Maputo, Mozambique
PIR and ISOC contributed to the travel and accommodation of AfrNIC members and board members.

PacNOG 2005
June 2005, Nadi, Fiji
PacNOG is a new operators group established in the Pacific Region. ISOC supported this event by funding the travel of instructors and a portion of the shipping costs.

SANOG 6
July 2005, Thimpu, Bhutan
ISOC provided a grant for the fellowship program. This allowed 20 local and regional participants to attend the workshops. A special focus was given to allow more femal students to attend. ISOC also helped with instructor travel for a System Administrator workshop held in preparation for SANOG 6 for Bhutanese network operators.

WALC 2005
July 2005, Merida, Venezuela
ISOC contributed to the fellowship program. In total 258 participants were selected.

CERN Workshop on African Research & Education Networking
September 2005, Geneva, Switzerland
ISOC funded travel and accommodation of a number of participants and speakers.

AfriNIC-3
December 2005, Cairo, Egypt
Afilias and ISOC contributed to the travel of particpants and speakers for the AfriNIC-3 meeting.
