The Internet Society is pleased to provide INET 97 participants with discounted housing accommodations at three lovely hotels: The Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur, The Legend and The Dynasty.

Reservations
Reservations for hotel rooms must be made directly with the hotel. (Please do not contact the Internet Society when making a hotel reservation).

A number of discounted INET 97 hotel rooms are guaranteed until May 20, 1997. The Internet Society urges you to make reservations as soon as possible. Reservations received after the cutoff date will be accepted on a space available basis and discounted rooms can not be guaranteed.

Making A Reservation
Important: When making a reservation with the INET 97 Hotels, you must state that you are with the Internet Society in order to receive the discounted rates.

Payment
All reservation requests require a credit card guarantee and/or a one-night s deposit. Deposits will be refunded for rooms canceled more than 72 hours prior to arrival. A hotel can not guarantee a confirmed reservation if an INET 97 attendee fails to check into the hotel on the first day of the confirmed reservation.

Currency Exchange
Note: All prices are quotes in Malaysian Ringgit. The unit form of currency is Ringgit Malaysia (RM). US $1.00 = RM2.47 as of 7 April 1997.

The INET 97 Hotels are located close to the Putra World Trade Center - the location of the conference. All hotels are between 30-40 minutes from the airport.

Taxis
Taxis are easily available and inexpensive. Taxi meters start at RM2.00 and the fare increases by RM1.00 for every km. There are taxi terminals at all strategic locations in the city.

Tipping
Although local tradition does not require tipping, a 10% service charge and a 5% government tax is added to all bills at recognized establishments.
