Are You Happy With Online Classes? A Survey/Interview of Adults Who Took Technology-Related Online Courses in Singapore and Silicon Valley in 1998-99

Abstract

There are various forms of on-line classes. The author will be conducting survey and interview on adults who took one-technology related courses such as 3D animation, Educational Technology in Singapore and Silicon Valley between Fall 1998, and Spring 1999.

Singapore is selected is because it is an intelligent digital island. The whole country is wired with cables and internet connections. Silicon Valley is selected because it is a technology-enriched area similar to Singapore.

Two learning objectives: 1. What are the factors that affect the success or failure of on-line courses? 2. Are there cross-cultural differences in course satisfaction and expectation?
