JEAN NOEL TRONC

Advisor to the Prime Minister for Information Technologies and theInformation Society

Mr. Tronc is advisor the Prime Minister for Information Technologies and theInformation Society.

From 1995 to 1997, he served as an expert on communication networks and the InformationSociety at the Commissariat Général du Plan, the French public agency responsible forstrategic studies and evaluation of public policies. Mr. Tronc was a rapporteur for areport to the Prime Minister on the French concept of « Service Public » andfor a public report on Information Society Networks.

From 1993 to 1995, Mr Tronc was a senior consultant with Andersen Consulting where afocused on the telecommunications sector, especially in mobile and satellitecommunication.

From 1989 to 1992, he worked for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs andIndustrial Policy of the European Parliament.

Mr Tronc taught at the Ecole Nationale d’Administration and the Ecole des HautesEtudes Commerciales. He is currently teaching at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques deParis. He is graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and of the EcoleSupérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales.

He is married and has two children.
